48 Laws of Power (by Robert Greene): Part 1 (Laws 1 to 4)

Blog Series on Book Summary of 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene - Part 1 (Laws 1 to 4)

Hi all,

Wanted to start writing as a hobby. About a year ago, I became an avid reader, being introduced to reading by my wife who happens to be a librarian and a veracious reader herself. I discovered that I liked to read non-fictional books, management books, books on self-help, and productivity books. I have completed reading more than 30 books in this year and have achieved this year's reading target. I decided to write a summary with important excerpts from this interesting book that I read recently. I will keep it short in bite-sized nuggets that should be easy to digest and useful to implement.

You can follow me on Goodreads here:

Now, to the book summary: part 1 covering laws 1 to 4. Will publish remaining laws in upcoming blogs.

Book link on Amazon/Kindle:

Law 1: Never outshine the master!

Stay humble and respect your mentors and seniors. Do not try to undermine them. Always give them the due credit for their role in your success.

Law 2: Never put too much trust in friends, learn to use enemies!

Don't use people. We all make mistakes. Set-up your life such that the actions of your friends or enemies do not make or break you.

Law 3: Conceal your intentions!

Keep your intentions pure and for the good of the world. You will always radiate more power than being shady.

Law 4: Always say less than necessary!

Speak only the truth and do it whenever it is necessary.

Thank you for being a patient reader. I wanted to keep it short and sweet. Hope this was useful.

Cheers,
Subin Khullar
